OCTOBER!!

Welcome October!

Just a beautiful time of year. So much to do in October and just an amazing feeling as we start to draw inward and celebrate the comforts and the warmth of home and hearth. This is the time of year when the farmers get to harvest the very last of their crops, that the hunters Moon illuminates on the autumn trees and the winds will carry the last of the colored leaves to the ground. OHHHH how I love this time of year.

October 31st, Samhain , Witches (Celtics and Pagans ) will begin to celebrate their New Year. A time to honor and celebrate the dead. A time to bridge the gap between heaven and earth as the veil is the thinnest. It really does not matter what you practice ~ which religion~ It is a time of reflection, warmth and memories.

Samhain is a time for quiet contemplation, where practitioners reflect on the past year's growth, release negative aspects of their lives, and set intentions for the future. A time of bonfires to cleanse away negative energies, a beautifully decorated altar of apples, pinecones, acorns, flowers and herbs of the season.

Our Full Moon will fall on the 6th. It begins as an Air element but will change to a water element by the 23rd. I celebrate both elements through the entire month. This full moon brings about the energy of transformation, change, introspection, grace and abundance. It is a time of release and manifestation. A great time to enhance abilities, Divination and Spiritual rejuvenation.

The stone of the month at the shop this month will be Amethyst. (50% off 1 tumbled ( no coupons, limit 1 )

Amethyst is believed to connect the physical world with higher realms, opening the spiritual awareness and enhancing intuition. The crystal is seen as a protective stone that guards against negative energy, ill wishes, and psychic attacks. This stone works with your Third eye. (intuition)

Mediation for reflection and for the welcoming of the New Year should take place on October 31st. You can have your own silent supper at home that evening. Simply create a meal of love infused chicken with rosemary, pasta and sauce, green beans, roasted potatoes, bread and butter. There are some amazing recipes online. Have a special place sweet the memories of your loved ones with trinkets, photos, Candles etc. Prepare your dinner and as you sit - sit in silence - welcoming your loved ones to join you. They no longer have a voice and you will be switching with them in HONOR of them for the evening. Have a place setting for them and serve them as you would if they were in their physical bodies. Eat in complete silence. At the end of the dinner, take their place and offer it to the woods. Let the wilds eat from eat as a token of gratitude.

Be sure to check our Events as we are kicking the Fall/Winter classes in.

Be well and Happy October!!!
